Defence to cross-examine witness in Limpopo pig farm murder trial

The double murder trial of a Limpopo pig farmer is on Wednesday morning expected to continue in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo. On Tuesday, the court conducted an inspection-in-loco at the pig farm at Onverwacht outside Polokwane.

This is after defence lawyer, Advocate Jacobus Venter, made an application to conduct an inspection-in-loco where the shooting and killing of two women happened in August 2024.

Former accused and now state witness, Rudolph de Wet, demonstrated how the women were shot and how the bodies were disposed of in the pigsty.

Piles of dairy plastic containers were seen a few metres from the pigsty where the bodies of the two women were found.

Former accused and now Section 204 witness, De Wet, showed the court where the alleged shooting incident took place.

De Wet also demonstrated how the bodies of the women were positioned in the pigsty.

Advocate Venter will continue to cross-examine De Wet.
