Defence for accused 3 in Meyiwa trial ready to hand in dental report

The defence for accused number three, Mthobisi Mncube in the former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa murder trial says it is ready to hand in the dental examination report to the High Court in Pretoria.

Mncube was sent to a private dental surgeon to determine if he ever had a gold tooth in 2014, the year Meyiwa was murdered.

He and four others are on trial for his murder.

Meyiwa was shot and killed while at singer Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus, East Rand.

Defence Counsel Adv Charles Mnisi has requested to go through the report with Mncube before it is handed in as an exhibit.

Mnini says, “The process indeed was very prompt, we’ve got a report. Mr Mncube was examined by a specialist doctor who furnished us with a report. The content of the report is just as it is. We would request just 30 minutes to go through the report with Mr Mncube and if Mr (Moses) Mabasa (state witness) is here, we can proceed.”
