Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille is expected to clear up several matters concerning the South African Tourism Board before a Parliamentary Committee on Tuesday.
Among others, De Lille is expected to brief the Tourism Portfolio Committee on why she dissolved the Board.
In a statement last month, De Lille indicated that the Board failed to follow due procedure when it convened a special meeting early in August, and took a decision to put Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nombulelo Guliwe on precautionary suspension.
At the time, the Board had no Chairperson.
De Lille is also expected to address the appointment of a new Board, the suspension of Guliwe and the outcome of a forensic report.
