DA to meet to decide on GNU going forward

1 minute

The Democratic Alliance (DA) Federal Executive says it will meet later today, to make a decision on it’s future in the Government of National Unity (GNU).

The party expressed its unhappiness following the adoption of the Fiscal Framework report by the Standing Committee on Finance last night.

The ANC, IFP, and ActionSA voted for the adoption of the report, which comes with recommendations to halt the VAT hike.

The DA has accused these parties of selling out, calling the decision to adopt the report irresponsible.

The report will be tabled in the National Assembly this afternoon.

DA National spokesperson Karabo Khakau says the FEDEX hasn’t determined a time for its meeting yet.
