DA to elect new leadership, finalise policy amid GNU talks

The Democratic Alliance will on Sunday, the second day of its congress, focus on the election of new party leadership and finalising policy, particularly in the context of the Government of National Unity.

The party is holding its two-day Federal Congress at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Over 2,000 delegates will elect a federal leader, chairperson and three deputy chairpersons.

Yesterday, on day one of the DA Federal Congress, the party concluded with a raft of policy proposals.

They include promoting fair employment opportunities for workers over the age of 35, addressing the impact of online gambling and vaping regulations to safeguard teenagers, among others.
