DA MP Dianne Kohler Barnard to appear before Ad Hoc Committee

Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of Parliament (MP) and member of the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system, Dianne Kohler Barnard, is expected to appear as a witness before the committee on Thursday.

She was named by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as having allegedly shared classified intelligence information.

Kohler-Barnard has previously denied wrongdoing.

Her expected appearance is likely to raise questions about the conduct of MPs who took an oath or affirmation to ensure that they are faithful to the Republic and are bound to obey the Constitution.
