DA in the Free State promises voters improved service delivery

The Democratic Alliance’s (DA) Free State leader Doctor Roy Jankielsohn says they have promised voters an improved delivery of basic services.

Jankielsohn whose position is uncontested is one of the longest serving members of the party.

DA leader John Steenhuisen is expected to deliver the keynote address at the provincial congress in Bloemfontein.

The provincial finance chairperson’s position is also uncontested, while the position of chairperson and deputy chairperson are being hotly contested.

Doctor Jankielsohn says this congress is being held at a crucial time.

“But only if the people in the Free State really want that, and I’m sure people in the Free State are fed up with empty taps, steward roads, sewerage running through their streets and into the dams and streams and rivers. They are fed up with dirty communities. They are fed up with the crime, they want improvement in their lives, and now is their opportunity to actually vote for that, and that is what our offer is, and it’s not something that we just offer before elections. It’s always there for the people if they really want it enough,” says Jankielsohn.
