Cape Town Tourism CEO, Enver Duminy, says they are working closely with aviation partners and will share updates as new information becomes available, following escalating tensions in the Middle East.

This follows attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran’s capital, Tehran, which have led to airspace closures and flight cancellations. The organisation says travellers are urged to contact their airlines or booking agents for assistance with rebooking if their travel plans are affected.
Duminy says, “Cape Town Tourism is aware of the current global flight disruptions linked to the situation in the Middle East and related airspace closures. We strongly encourage travellers to check directly with their airline or travel agent before heading to the airport, as delays and cancellations are likely.”
