The Lichtenburg Magistrate’s Court in the North West is today expected to deliver judgment in the bail application of a man accused of financing terrorism, Ziyadh Hoorzook.

Thirty-five-year-old Hoorzook was remanded in custody following the postponement of his bail application last week.

He was arrested at his home in Johannesburg on January 3 following a lengthy probe into suspicious transactions allegedly linked to terror financing.

A suspicious transaction of Bitcoin worth R 11 500 was allegedly done in 2017 while Hoorzook was still residing in Lichtenburg.
