Court dismisses state’s bid for clarification in Omotoso acquittal

The Gqeberha High Court in the Eastern Cape has dismissed the state’s application seeking clarification on the judgment that acquitted televangelist Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused, Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho.

Judge Nyameko Gqamana delivered the ruling, stating that the state is not entitled to clarification on the judgment issued by Judge Irma Schoeman.

Omotoso and his co-accused had faced multiple charges, including racketeering, human trafficking, and rape. They were acquitted on all counts earlier this year.
