The High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo, has dismissed with costs an urgent application to nullify the Sekhukhune Regional Conference of the African National Congress (ANC) held in April.
The applicant, Mopa Blessings Pitjadi is secretary of the Lawrence Phokanoka Branch. Pitjadi’s legal representative argued that the conference’s decisions and resolutions be declared unlawful and invalid, and be set aside.
The ANC in Limpopo is expected to convene a media briefing on Wednesday afternoon regarding the matter.
During the conference, Minah Mahula was elected Chairperson, David Tladi Deputy Chairperson, Tala Mathope Regional Secretary, Eddie Maila Deputy Regional Secretary, while Given Moimane was elected as the new Regional Treasurer.
