Tap with droplet of water.
Residents of Coronationville in Johannesburg say water supply has still not been restored in the area.
The community held a series of protests in the past two weeks.
Water tankers were dispatched to the area.
There are unconfirmed reports that the water supply woes impacted the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital.
Joburg Water and City of Joburg officials held a media briefing on Friday where they promised to restore water supply to affected areas.
Coronationville resident Jeremy Scheppers says having no water is compromising their health.
“We cannot live like this. The intervals … the water shortage is getting longer and it very difficult to teach children how to clean themselves, wash their hands before they eat. So, they are getting sick because they are eating with dirty hands and most importantly, we struggle to flush the toilet and keep the toilet clean.”
