CONTRALESA president Chief Lameck Mokoena
The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) has urged those who are tasked with the selection of the new Head of the National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) to ensure that they recommend a person with good credentials.
A panel is interviewing six candidates to replace Advocate Shamila Batohi, whose office term will end next month.
CONTRALESA president Chief Lameck Mokoena says that those who are tasked to select a new NDPP should look for experience and good credentials.
“CONTRALESA wants to advise those who are given the responsibility to select our new NDDP to look for quality, experience and good credentials. CONTRALESA calls upon the team not to recommend someone who is linked or connected to a political organisation. We are where we are as a country because of such appointments; we do not need that anymore.”
