[File Image] Proteas win against England in London.
After having beaten England 2-1 in the three-match One Day International series, the South African men’s cricket team will want to replicate those performances in the T20 International series against its host.
The Proteas are still not firing on all cylinders in the shortest format of the game, and they need to settle on the right combinations as soon as possible, as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka is less than five months away.
The first T20 International between the two countries was supposed to have started at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, but it’s raining and the toss has been postponed.
News from the Proteas camp is that the fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the series with a hamstring strain and will be replaced by Nandre Burger.
