A police detective known as Witness B has described how one woman indirectly boasted to her about how alleged criminal cartel member and murder accused Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe would make the Armand Swart case disappear.
This, she says, happened when three murder accused, Warrant Officer Pule Tau, Musa Kekana and Tiego Mabusela, appeared at the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court in April 2024.
The trio were charged with Swart’s murder. He was shot 23 times outside his work premises while sitting in his bakkie.
Witness B is testifying in camera at the Madlanga Commission, sitting in Pretoria.
“She was saying out loud, more like bragging. And intentionally so, because we were close by. It’s like, you know, when someone is trying to indirectly convey a message to you, but not really saying it to you. But knowing very well that you will get the message.”
“She said, KT will make this thing disappear. Like we didn’t understand where does it come from and why is it necessary? And why so loud and so bragging? Why also [make the comment while she was] next to us?”
