Civil society organisation- the Activists and Citizens Forum, has slammed the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC)- for targeting National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
They say the arrest of 12 senior police officers over the R360 million MediCare24 contract was just a smokescreen to fool the public.
The group claims the sudden summons of Masemola is part of a dirty fight back by a faction inside IDAC to capture the police and justice system.
Activists and Citizens Forum Spokesperson Dennis Bloem says, “Many other generals implicated in the Madlanga Commission, and the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee- deputy national commissioner Shadrack Sibiya, General Shibiri, his name is all over, he is not being charged or summonsed to appear before the court. General Senona, the head of KwaZulu-Natal Hawks, with serious allegations against him.”
