The case against a police officer accused of killing his crime prevention warden girlfriend Chisney Keppler from Eldorado Park – south of Johannesburg has been postponed to 26 February for further investigations.

42-year-old Mandla Buthelezi appeared before the Protea Magistrates’ Court in Soweto this morning.

He faces a charge of murder after he allegedly fired several shots through the window killing Chesnay Keppler at her friend’s home in Eldorado Park on 26 December.

“Justice must prevail for Chesney, SAPS must be held accountable. Not just Mandla’s actions but also the inaction of the SAPS at the Eldorado police station because they were also aware that this child was abused in the police station, and they did nothing. They are accomplices,” says spokesperson for Keppler’s family, Aisha Hendricks.
