Chippa United ease relegation worries with 2-0 win over Durban City

Chippa United have eased their relegation woes in the Betway Premiership after a deserved 2-0 win against Durban City at the Buffalo City Stadium, in East London.

Sinoxolo Kwayiba scored a goal in each half to lift Chippa to position 14th on the log. Despite the loss Durban City are still 6th on the log table after a very strong display in the first half.

A goalkeeping blunder by former Bafana Bafana keeper Darren Keet led to the opening goal of the match scored by Chippa midfielder, Sinoxolo Kwayiba.

Then the 36-year-old Keet redeemed himself later in the first half producing two point blank saves to deny the homeside.

Kwayiba found his brace sixteen minutes into the second half, after a defensive blunder by a City defender. In another match played, on Saturday Amazulu moved up the log standings after a slender 1-0 win away to Marumo Gallants.
