Charges dropped against one accused in Limpopo pig feeding case

Charges against one of the accused in the killing of two women whose bodies were fed to pigs have been withdrawn in the High Court in Polokwane in Limpopo.

Pig farmer, Zacharia Olivier and his two employees, Rudolf de Wet and William Musora, allegedly shot and killed Maria Makgato and Kudzai Ndlovu on a farm in Onverwacht outside Polokwane in August last year.

De Wet has turned state witness, and charges against him have been withdrawn.

Judge Francis Kganyago postponed the matter to October for trial.

“The court is satisfied that they made a full and satisfactory disclosure, and it is in the interest of justice that a postponement be granted on this matter. This matter is postponed to the 17th of October 2025. The charges against accused number 2 have been withdrawn.”
