Heavy rain on a road.
Due to persistent rainfall, Johannesburg Emergency Services are urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe following distance and not to drive on flooded roads or to cross low-lying bridges.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi says, “We’re pleading with our residents to avoid crossing rivers and streams while they’re conducting their daily activities. We are also pleading with our faith-based organisations who normally visit river streams not to conduct cleansing and baptism rituals during this rainy period.”
