The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre is monitoring for any impacts from the current cold front.
Disaster Risk Management spokesperson, Charlotte Powell says reports are coming in of some localised flooding of roadways.
She says at this stage, no flooding of homes has been reported.
Powell adds that the South African Weather Service has indicated that the bulk of the rainfall will happen overnight.
“Our NGO partners have been busy this week, assisting residents who were impacted by the previous frontal systems – they too remain on hand to provide any humanitarian assistance from the current forecast,” she explains.
