Police in Cape Town have confiscated drugs worth R18 million and firearms at a storage facility in Roeland Street.
Police spokesperson FC Van Wyk says officers acted on a tipoff about drugs and firearms being stored at the address. He says a suspect has been arrested.
“They conducted a search of the unit upon which they discovered 15 bricks of cocaine of about 15 kilograms (1kg each) with an estimated street value of R18 million as well as one AK 47 rifle, an Uzzi, five 9mm pistols and an assortment of ammunition.
The 40-year-old male will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court once charged for the unlawful possession of firearms, ammunition and dealing in drugs.”
