City of Ekurhuleni Member of Mayoral Committee for Development Planning, Nomadlozi Nkosi, has called for justice for the family of a five-year-old girl in Duduza on Gauteng’s Eastrand.

The little girl was allegedly raped and stabbed to death on New Year’s Day.

Her lifeless body was found in bushes in the area.

An inquest docket of rape and murder has since been opened.

Nkosi was speaking outside the bereaved family’s home in Duduza.

“We went to see the family. What we saw there is very painful. What is happening in our country is very uncalled for? We are calling out for the law enforcement to make sure that they don’t neglect these issues of Gender-based Violence,” says Nkosi.
