1 minute
The widow of Fort Calata, Nomonde Calata, has concluded her testimony at the inquest into the deaths of the Cradock Four in the High Court in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.
She testified about her late-husband’s character and the type of man he was away from activism.
Calata explained how the police would harass them in their home, break their possessions and threaten their lives.
She said even after the death of her husband, she was harassed by the security branch of the apartheid police.
The 66-year-old concluded her testimony by pleading to the court to help her find closure before she dies.
