The Bulls qualified for rugby’s second-tier European Challenge Cup playoffs after a massive 48-7 victory over Stade Francais in Pretoria in the European Rugby Champions Cup.
With the bonus point victory, the Bulls moved above the French side and finished 5th in their Champions Cup group, which guarantees them a spot in the second-tier Challenge Cup last 16.
The Bulls took an early lead thanks to a penalty try and followed that up with a smooth backline move.
Scrumhalf Embrose Papier then caught the defense napping. Next, it was the forwards’ chance to show off their skills.
And shortly before halftime the visitors once again failed to pay attention. The Bulls extended their halftime lead of 36-7 shortly after the break.
Another mistake by Stade Francais allowed the Bulls to take advantage.
The Bulls will have to wait for other results in their group to see if they advance to the knockout stage.
