Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos named his final squad of 23 players for the crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria in Bloemfontein in early September.
Broos says winning is non-negotiable as he is determined to qualify for the World Cup, to be co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Broos also needs a points cushion to whether a potential sanction by FIFA after Nigeria complained about the selection of an ineligible Teboho Mokoena in Bafana’s win over Lesotho in March.
Broos says he refuses to let that debacle derail his qualification campaign.
“When rules are followed, there is no complaint. I’m focused on the game on Friday against Lesotho. We are in a very good position, and we must try to keep that position.”
