Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is looking to end the year with qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco.

Bafana will play against Uganda on Friday in an away match and will play against South Sudan next week Tuesday in Cape Town.

The team, which is on the verge of qualifying for AFCON 2025, just need two points from their remaining two matches against Uganda and South Sudan.

Broos says he is confident. “We can also write history by qualifying two times in a row, it will be a nice achievement and we can end the year on a high. We started it very well with a bronze medal and I think it’s nice to end that season with a qualification again.”

However, Broos says he will resign immediately if they don’t qualify.

“If we lose two games, five minutes after the game, I will fly to Belgum if we can’t beat Uganda and South Sudan at home, I will take flight immediately and you will never see me again.”

Broos is confident that they can overcome Uganda away who held Bafana to a surprise two-all draw at home in September.

He will be pinning his hopes on the return of players such as Siyabonga Ngezana, Thalenthe Mbatha and Mothobi Mvala to help him achieve his goal.

The coach made one change from the team that reported for camp at the Dobsonville stadium in Soweto.

Stellenbosch attacker Devin Titus has replaced Cyprus-based player Mihlali Mayambela, who suffered an injury over the weekend.

Two overseas-based players Luke Le Roux and Siyabonga Ngezana will only join the team on Tuesday.
