A fatal shooting crime scene.
Police have confirmed that a witness, who appeared before the Madlanga Commission, has been shot dead in Brenthurst, Brakpan, Ekurhuleni.
It’s understood the witness who recently took the stand at the Commission, was traveling with his two children and his wife when he was attacked.
It’s unclear whether his wife and kids were injured during the shooting.
During his testimony, he told the Commission that a suspect was tortured by suffocation using a plastic bag and later found dead, though the cause of death remains unclear.
Gauteng Deputy Police Commissioner, Major General Fred Kekana has arrived at the crime scene and he’s expected to brief the media on what really transpired.
