Springboks team to take on the Pumas in Durban on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Defending champions South Africa have been forced into a late change ahead of Saturday’s Rugby Championship test match against Argentina in Durban.
Prop Boan Venter will start in the number one jersey in place of Ox Nche, who was forced to withdraw from the team due to an injury.
Venter was initially named on the replacement bench.
Flank Marco van Staden replaces Venter on the bench.
Van Staden can also provide cover at hooker, while Jan-Hendrik Wessels will serve as the back-up prop and hooker.
The Springboks are currently second on the Rugby Championship log, just one point behind Australia, with two rounds to play.
The Wallabies will clash with the All Blacks at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.
Team update: Ox Nche is out of tomorrow’s Test against Argentina, with Boan Venter starting in the front row 🚨#Springboks #ForeverGreenForeverGold
