Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha Magudumana have lost their bid to block the airing of the Netflix documentary ” Beauty and the Bester”.
The couple accused of a brazen escape at the Mangaung prison in the Free State launched an urgent application on Thursday at the High Court in Pretoria against the streaming service company.
They argued defamation and that the documentary would infringe on their right to a fair trial to resume in November.
However, in delivering judgment, Judge Sulet Porterill said there was no urgency and dismissed both applications with costs.
