Benin have solidified their lead in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C qualifiers. This follows their 1-0 win away against Rwanda in Kigali, yesterday evening.
Benin now sit on 17 points with 1 match to go, while South Africa remain second with 15 points from 9 matches played.
Meanwhile, Nigeria have beaten Lesotho 2-1 in Polokwane to keep their qualification hopes alive in the group.
On Tuesday, Benin will play away against Nigeria, while Rwanda will travel to Mbombela, where they will face Bafana Bafana, who are desperate for a win.
