The bail application of two men accused of gunning down alleged Cape Town underworld kingpin, Mark Lifman, is expected to continue in the George Magistrate’s Court in the Western Cape today.

Lifman was gunned down in the parking lot at the Garden Route Mall on November 3 last year.

The alleged underground boss was facing a slew of charges, including murder and racketeering that stem from the killing of steroid smuggler, Brian Wainstein in Constantia a few years ago.

Hours after Lifman’s murder, the suspects aged 37 and 53 were arrested.

The bail hearing was postponed in December for the defence lawyers to consult with their clients.
