Bail hearing of Jayden-Lee Meek’s mother to continue tomorrow

The bail application of Tiffany Meek who is accused of killing her son Jayden-Lee Meek has been rolled over to Tuesday.

The investigating officer has testified at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Gauteng’s West Rand, presenting a detailed account of the evidence collected.

The officer, who wishes not to be named, confirmed observing blood on Jayden-Lee’s pillow during an inspection of Meek’s home.

He also testified that Jayden-Lee’s body was found on a stairwell of the complex, with wounds to the neck and head, as well as visible bruising.

The state is opposing bail, arguing that releasing Meek would not serve the interest of justice.

“Miss Meek, your matter has been rolled over to 11 o’clock tomorrow. The court still needs to deal with a civil matter before you, but we will start tomorrow at  11:00,” confirmed Magistrate Anneline Africa.
