Court gavel.
The Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court will today continue to hear the bail application of the man accused of orchestrating the killing of Warrick Stock also known as “DJ Warras”.
The state is expected to respond to the defence’s submission. This is after the court dismissed the defence’s request for a copy of CCTV footage.
The accused, Victor Majola, has been placed at the scene through CCTV footage as he was seen walking and pointing the deceased to two other suspects who seconds later proceed to shoot the deceased multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Defence attorney, Dumisani Mabunda, says it would be a miscarriage of justice if Majola is not given an opportunity to see the footage.
The State has argued this process may affect the chain of evidence.
The three-day bail application has seen the state prosecutor and defense attorney go back and forth on the release of the CCTV footage.
