Bafana Bafana slip in FIFA rankings, drop out of Africa’s Top 10

Bafana Bafana have fallen on the FIFA rankings from 59 to 61 and subsequently dropped out of the top 10 on the continent.

FIFA will use the November rankings to determine both the seeding and pots for the World Cup draw on Friday, December 5, in Washington DC, USA.

While Hugo Broos’ team recorded a 3-1 win over the lower-ranked Zambia during the just ended international dates, it brought no benefit of a move up the standings.

CAF Play-Offs winners DRC have elbowed out Bafana in climbing into Africa’s top 10.

As it stands, only four countries outside CAF – Jordan, Curacao, Haiti and New Zealand, that have confirmed their World Cup qualification, are ranked lower than Bafana.
