Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos said his team will be gunning for a victory in front of an expected full-capacity home crowd when they face South Sudan in the last group match on Tuesday at the Cape Town stadium.

The men’s national football team arrived in Cape Town on Saturday following their 2-0 victory over Uganda in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifier match in Kampala on Friday.

Bafana beat South Sudan 3-2 in an away match in September.

South African Football Association (Safa) Vice President Bennet Bailey said they will use the Sudan match to prepare for 2025 Afcon in Morocco.

“They are not coming with pressure. They are coming with qualifications behind them and the focus is on being successful for the 2025 Afcon in Morocco.

Bailey also encouraged the fans to attend the match in big numbers.

“Tickets figures this morning were at 25 000 and there are still 13 000 left. Come out and buy your tickets and be part of the news. Be there or be told about it,” he enthused.

Bafana’s match against Sudan will kick off at 6pm.
