Bafana Bafana left their training base at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria to travel to OR Tambo International Airport.
The 2024 bronze medalists are on their way to Morocco for this year’s edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, where they hope to improve on their performance achieved in Ivory Coast last year.
Chief Medical Officer for the South African Football Association, Thulani Ngwenya says it’s all systems go for Bafana Bafana.
“We have seen that the coach has done exceptionally well since he took over. You can’t talk about the final without looking at Angola, our first opponent is Angola, so we are ready and everyone is ready. We believe that we are actually going to go all the way, that is what we want to do.”
