‘As South Africans both black and white, there is no genocide here’

President Cyril Ramaphosa has dismissed allegations that white Afrikaners are experiencing a genocide in South Africa.

Speaking on the sidelines of the ANC Northern Cape’s PEC induction programme, Ramaphosa says no one has been persecuted in South Africa.

President Ramaphosa did not mince his words, pushing back against disinformation that is being spread by those who are seeking refugee status in the United State of America.

“As South Africans both black and white there is no genocide here. We are not genociders. We are not committing any act of hatred. Act of retribution against or violence against anyone of a citizen even if they are not citizens of our country. We are not made that way. Every South African knows and agrees that there is no genocide here.”
