The African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) is due to hold a memorial service for its deputy president Lungi Mnganga-Gcabashe, on Thursday in Durban.
The ANC MP and chairperson of the Tourism Portfolio Committee passed away at her home in Westville in Durban, last weekend at the age of 64.
This is one of several memorial services being held in Durban since her passing.
Mnganga-Gcabashe has been described as a dedicated leader who was unapologetic about fighting for the liberation of women.
The ANC said in a statement that her funeral service would take place on Saturday at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver the eulogy.
