The ANC will hold its special National Executive Committee meeting in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg, later on Monday morning.
The one-day meeting is expected to discuss preparations for the party’s 5th National General Council at the Nasrec Expo Centre from Monday to Friday next week.
The ANC says the meeting will mainly discuss preparations for its NGC. And so far, all regional structures are directed to conclude their conferences before the NGC, with Johannesburg and Tshwane set to hold theirs from Wednesday until Friday.

Earlier, the ANC Secretary General said they have to decide if they fail to find each other.
But it remains to be seen if SACP members serving in cabinet will ultimately be removed as they serve on the ANC ticket.
