Analyst slams ANC’s Integrity Commission

Political Analyst Sandile Swana has criticised the ANC Integrity Commission saying it’s made up of people who have no integrity.

Swana argues that the commission is populated by NEC members who have been mentioned in corruption cases including a report by the State Capture Commission.

The ANC is holding its 5th National General Council at Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.

The NGC’s role is to review the performance of the leadership and as well as of the party.

Swana says the ANC will never return to its former glory as long as it’s infiltrated by corrupt individuals.

“What needed to be done and what still needs to be done is that we need to find a situation where a comrade charges another comrade according to the Constitution. We want to see a person like Thabang Makwetla charging Gwede Mantashe for the Bosasa mischief.”

Swana adds, “The Integrity Commission, which they did set up, has several shortcomings. One of them is that, in my judgment, is integrity. The Integrity Commission is subordinate to the culprits, which is the NEC, which most of the time the culprits come from there.”
