Alleged underworld figure, Nafiz Modack, will continue his testimony in the High Court in Cape Town today.
Modack says he did not instruct Zane Killian, his co-accused, to ping Anti Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear’s phone on the day of his murder.
Kinnear, who was investigating Modack, was shot and killed outside his home in Bishop Lavis in September 2020.
Modack and Killian are among 15 accused on trial, facing a myriad of charges including murder, attempted murder and Contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.
Modack testified that he enlisted Killian’s cell phone pinging services in June 2020 as Killian, a former rugby player, was then a debt collector.
