People queuing at the BMA offices
The Border Management Authority (BMA) says it’s working closely with other law enforcement authorities to ensure that trade and travel are not disrupted at the Lebombo border post.
It says 50 000 travellers passed through the border post between South Africa and Mozambique during the just ended long weekend.

The BMA’s Deputy Assistant Commissioner Mmemme Mogotsi says they are ensuring that operations are efficient at Lebombo.
“The processing of cargo on both arrival and departure continues as normal, with efficient facilitation ensuring seamless movement of goods. Similarly, traveller movements in both directions are flowing without disruptions, reflecting the Authority’s preparedness for the busy holiday season. Backlog of trucks that were on the N4 have been cleared, together with traffic on the corridor towards the Port of Entry.”
