The African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to close the party’s elective conference underway at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. The conference started on Thursday without any reported hindrances.

The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC)’s top five officials were elected unopposed except for the treasurer position.
Mbombela Executive Mayor Sibongile Makhushe-Mazibuko was elected the new provincial treasurer after the Mandla Msibi failed to meet the threshold.
The party’s Deputy Chairperson Speedy Mashilo says the leadership is ready to serve the people of Mpumalanga. He says after the commissions have reported back and PEC additional members announced the conference will conclude its business.
