The Springboks
New Zealand hung on for a 24-17 victory over South Africa in round three of the Rugby Championship at Eden Park in Auckland.
The Springboks were their own worst enemies for most of the match, and eventually had to settle for nothing more than a losing bonus point from a frustrating and error-prone performance.
Bok captain Jesse Kriel was not happy with his side’s performance, “I think we obviously weren’t up to scratch tonight. Way too many handling errors, just things that weren’t up to standard for us, but all credit to New Zealand. I think they were really good and a special way for them to celebrate an awesome player for New Zealand in Ardie. Ja, not as good as we wanted to be and we will be back next week.”
A massive battle, but not our day at Eden Park – well played @AllBlacks 🤝#Springboks #ForeverGreenForeverGold #NZLvRSA pic.twitter.com/XOasIsHuy0
