Albini High School learners
The Albini Girls High School in Ntshongweni, in the outer west of Durban, is among the rural schools that achieved a strong matric pass rate in KwaZulu-Natal.
The girls’ boarding school, situated in Ntshongweni, achieved a 96.6% pass rate for the class of 2025, making it number one in the Ndengezi circuit.
For the past three years, the school has produced the best results despite being in a rural area where it sometimes goes for weeks without water.
Neighbouring schools in the Ndengezi circuit also performed well.
