An Airlink aircraft.
Some holidaymakers in the Kruger National Park area may have their travel plans upended.
Airlink says it has suspended all flights to and from Hoedspruit in Limpopo.
This is due to severe floods which have left many roads impassable and, in the process, restricting access to the airport.
The Hoedspruit Airport serves communities in the area as well as the nearby Kruger National Park and surrounding lodges and resorts.
The airline says it will resume flights as soon as the relevant authorities have declared it safe for them to resume operations.
Airlink has apologised for any inconvenience this has caused and says it’s working with its counterparts at SANParks and other service providers to try to minimise the disruption caused.
