ActionSA Caucus leader Athol Trollip has accused the Democratic Alliance (DA) of making unreasonable demands after the party, the second-largest in the Government of National Unity (GNU), refused to support the 2025 budget tabled by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana.
The National Assembly narrowly passed the budget yesterday, prompting Trollip to stress that ActionSA will hold the African National Congress (ANC) accountable if the fiscal plan fails. He also states that his party has proposed solutions to the ANC, including a SARS recovery programme.
Trollip made these remarks during a media briefing in Cape Town this morning.
