Accused in e-hailing driver’s murder to appear in court

Six people who were arrested in connection with the murder of an e-hailing driver are expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning.

Twenty-two-year-old Isaac Satlat was killed inside his vehicle in Atteridgeville, Pretoria, earlier this month.

Dikeledi Mphela, Goitsione Machidi, McClaren Mushwana, Tumishang Mabutla, Ofentse Senwamadi and Thabang Mothwa are alleged to have acted in common purpose to murder Satlat.

It is alleged that after disposing of Satlat’s body, the accused took his vehicle to Mothwa for him to remove the tracker.

The three newly added accused, Mabutla, Senwamadi and Mothwa, were arrested on Monday last week after police investigations linked them to the incident.

Mabutla is facing charges of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

Senwamadi is charged with premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances as an accessory after the fact, while Mothwa is only charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances as an accessory after the fact.
