Accused in AKA murder back in court for pre-trial hearing

Five men accused of the murder of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his friend, celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, will today be back in the High Court in Durban for a pre-trial hearing.

Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down outside a restaurant in a popular Durban night club in 2023.

The alleged mastermind Mzwithemba Gwabeni and co-accused Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, Lindani Ndimande, Siyanda Myeza and Lindokuhle Ndimande, were arrested about a year later.

They are facing charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering.

A pre-trial hearing normally paves the way for the setting of a trial date.
